Bulnes Subte Station
Buenos Aires, Argentina
About
Bulnes is a Line D stop under Avenida Santa Fe at Bulnes, with Alto Palermo shopping center beside the station and the surrounding Palermo blocks above it. It opened on December 29, 1938, during Line D's first push northwest from the center.
The station keeps two long ceramic murals based on 1938 designs by Alfredo Guido. One follows legends and folk stories from the forest region of northern Argentina. The other turns to the mountain landscapes, archaeology, sugar harvests, and mills of the northwest. SBASE renovated Bulnes in 2023 with new lighting, floors, signs, and other station repairs. The city lists one escalator and no elevators, so the station is not step-free.
