About
Casa Milà, better known as La Pedrera, was built from 1906 to 1912 for Pere Milà and Roser Segimon. Two apartment blocks wrap around interconnected courtyards beneath a self-supporting stone facade, which allowed Gaudí to move interior walls independently. The visit includes the courtyards, an attic of brick catenary arches, a period apartment, and the rooftop with sculpted chimneys and ventilation towers. It was Gaudí’s last major civil work.
