About
The historic funicular railway (kolej linowo-terenowa) climbing Gubałówka hill from central Zakopane, opened in 1938 as the second funicular in Poland after the Góra Parkowa line in Krynica-Zdrój. Two glass-roofed cars cover 1,307 meters and about 300 meters of elevation gain in three to four minutes. Fully modernized in 2001. Runs year round, with the longest hours and highest prices in the June to September high season.
