Lang Cave
Gunung Mulu, Malaysia
Mike's review
Visited 2023It’s easy to see this cave if you’re headed to deer cave, it’s only a few meters away. It’s smaller, but has a neat entrance. Buy your tickets in advance, they sell out!

Gunung Mulu National Park offers several day hikes that allow visitors to explore the stunning natural landscapes and biodiversity of the area. Here are some of the popular day hikes in Gunung Mulu:
1. Deer Cave and Lang's Cave: This day hike takes you to two of the most impressive caves in Gunung Mulu National Park. Deer Cave is one of the largest cave passages in the world and is home to a vast colony of bats. Lang's Cave, on the other hand, is known for its beautiful calcite formations and stalactites.
2. Clearwater Cave and Wind Cave: This hike combines visits to Clearwater Cave, one of the longest cave systems in Southeast Asia, and Wind Cave, famous for its unique limestone formations. The trail to Clearwater Cave also passes through a scenic rainforest, and visitors can take a dip in the crystal-clear waters of the Clearwater River.
3. Racer Cave and The Pinnacles Viewpoint: For those seeking a more challenging day hike, this trek takes you to Racer Cave, which is known for its swiftlets, as well as to the Pinnacles Viewpoint. While reaching the actual Pinnacles requires a multi-day trek, the viewpoint offers a glimpse of the majestic limestone formations from a distance.
4. Paku Waterfall: This day hike leads you through lush rainforest to the beautiful Paku Waterfall. Along the way, you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the tropical forest and cool off in the refreshing waters of the waterfall.
5. The Canopy Skywalk: This unique hike takes you on a suspended walkway through the treetops of the rainforest. From the Canopy Skywalk, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding forest and spot various bird species.
It's important to note that some of these day hikes may require the assistance of a licensed guide, especially for visits to caves and more challenging trails. Additionally, it's recommended to check the park's regulations and obtain the necessary permits before embarking on any hikes.
