Martineta Bar is my favorite restaurant in this part of the city. It is tiny, with only a couple of tables on the street, a few inside, and about a dozen more around the bar. The menu is an eclectic fusion of globally inspired dishes made with Argentine tastes and ingredients in mind. I always make a point of ordering the carpaccio de lomo and usually add a couple of other tapas. Like most bar-style restaurants in Buenos Aires, they also have larger meat dishes if you want a full meal.

Martineta is a tiny bar and restaurant on Reconquista in Retiro. It has only a couple of sidewalk tables, a few regular tables inside, and most of the room is the long wooden bar. The menu combines globally inspired tapas with Argentine tastes and ingredients, plus larger meat dishes, beer, cocktails and whiskey.
