Visited 2024Kartlis Deda works best paired with Narikala and the cable car. The statue is simple from up close, but the position over the city gives it weight.
I liked the contrast of sword and wine cup as a shorthand for Georgian welcome and defense. It is a short stop, but it gives the ridge a symbol.
