Narikala Fortress

Tbilisi

Mike's review

Narikala is the old-town ridge stop that makes Tbilisi click spatially. From up here you can see the river, baths district, Metekhi, old town, modern bridge, and the hills all at once.

I liked it as a viewpoint more than a fortress tour: rough walls, uneven paths, wind, and that sense of the city folding around the Mtkvari.

From the source

Historic fortress ridge above Old Tbilisi, between the sulfur baths and the botanical garden, with views over the Mtkvari River and central landmarks.
