The sulfur baths are one of the places where Tbilisi's origin story becomes physical. Abanotubani is not just a spa district; the domes, tiled facades, warm-water history, and gorge behind it all make the old town feel specific.
I liked it as a neighborhood walk even before deciding whether to book an actual bath.
