About
Park Güell began in 1900 as Eusebi Güell’s plan for a private residential estate modeled on English garden suburbs. The housing project failed, but Gaudí’s gatehouses, stone viaducts, tiled terrace, and monumental stair survived. Barcelona bought the land and opened it as a public park in 1926. The ticketed monumental area is only one part of a 12-hectare park, and entry slots can sell out.

The park itself is open daily from 07:00 to 22:00. Tourist ticket slots for the monumental area are sold from 09:30 to 19:30. From 07:00-09:30 and 20:00-22:00 access is reserved for neighbours and Passi Verd bookings.

Official 2026 prices include VAT. Residents and local access programmes have separate free-entry rules.
