Trogir Green Market (Tržnica)

Trogir, Croatia

Mike's review

Visited 2021

Trogir's green market is one of my favorites in Croatia, even though it is not really a local market anymore. Most of the vendors cater to tourists now, though you still see the occasional pensioner or farmer selling their own produce. The quality is high either way. Depending on the season, you'll find fresh produce of every kind, smoked meats, cheeses, olive oil, homemade wine, local honey, and jams and preserves. There are a couple of bakeries too.

I've bought greens here before, but these days I do my real shopping at one of the big supermarkets nearby, since this is now more of a tourist stop than a working market. It sits on the mainland waterfront and is large for a town the size of Trogir. I walk the whole thing in 20 to 30 minutes. If it's your first time at a Dalmatian market, you might want longer.
