Promet Split 37
Split (Sukoišanska) ↔ Trogir

Bus 37 is Promet Split's local line between Split and Trogir, signed SPLIT - AIRPORT - TROGIR on the timetable. It is the all-stops workhorse of the corridor: 35 stops in about an hour, north out of Split through Solin, west along the bay through the Kaštela settlements, then past the airport into Trogir. I have used it several times and it is the easiest way I know to do Trogir as a half-day.
The Split terminus is Autobusni terminal Sukoišan, the local bus terminal near the National Theater. It is not the main intercity station by the harbor, which trips up first-time riders. Buses run roughly every 20 minutes on weekdays, first departure 04:00 and last 00:15, with a slightly thinner weekend pattern. Promet publishes the current timetable at promet-split.hr and runs a live bus map at fleet.promet-split.hr, which is the easier way to time your walk to the stop.
The middle of the route is the seven Kaštela, coastal settlements that each grew around a fortified Renaissance manor and have since run together into one long seaside town. The bus stops in every one of them, which is where the hour goes. Some workday runs are signed Direktna and skip the minor stops, and a few short workings turn around at Kaštel Stari, so check the destination board. The full local is the default service.
The airport stop is signed Zračna luka, which is simply Croatian for airport. It is a roadside stop on the main road a short walk from the terminal, about ten minutes before Trogir coming from Split. If you land at Split and are staying in Trogir, or the reverse, this is the cheap connection between the two.
Fares are zonal. Split to Trogir crosses the whole corridor and cost around €2.50 a ride when I last used it. Tickets come from kiosks at the Split terminus or from the driver. Check Promet's pricelist for current numbers, since the zones and prices shift.
In Trogir the line ends at the bus station on the mainland side of the bridge, right next to the green market. The market is worth ten minutes before you cross into the old town. For how to read these markets in general, see my Balkan green markets guide.
