Roca Line Roca: Temperley–Haedo

The Roca Temperley to Haedo branch connects the southern and western suburban rail networks without going through central Buenos Aires. It links Temperley with San Justo and Haedo, where passengers can change to the Sarmiento line.

The cross-suburban railway opened in the late nineteenth century to move trains between the Great Southern and Western railway systems. Passenger service survived as an unusual orbital link after the networks were nationalized. It is still useful precisely because it avoids Constitución and Once.

Use SUBE for the fare and check the timetable before starting. Departures are much thinner than the main electric branches at either end, so the transfer only saves time when the schedules line up. The platforms for connecting trains may require a walk within the station area.

Diesel rolling stock operates the full branch, with simpler interiors and more limited seating than the air-conditioned electric trains on the main Roca and Sarmiento lines. Wheelchair access, high platforms, and staffed assistance are inconsistent. Confirm the boarding setup at the required stations in advance.
