The Los Amores–Cacuí train crosses rural Chaco through La Sabana, Charadai, Tapenagá, Cote Lai, and General Obligado. A complete trip takes a little over five hours.

The railway opened as part of the meter-gauge network built across Chaco's agricultural interior and now assigned to the General Belgrano system. Several intermediate stops are named for railway kilometer points rather than towns. Desvío Km 474, Km 519, and Km 523 remain useful map references because there may be no station building or settlement center to look for.

The timetable effective August 18, 2025 has trains on Monday, Thursday, and Friday, but most begin or end at Charadai. Only the Monday train toward Cacuí starts at Los Amores, and only the Friday return reaches Los Amores. Missing either one changes the trip by several days.

SUBE works aboard the train. Paper tickets can be bought at Cacuí or from the onboard staff, while a contactless bank card is not listed as an alternative.

Current rolling stock consists of diesel railcars with basic seating. Stations can be unstaffed and shelter is limited, so bring water and do not build a tight connection around the scheduled arrival.

The operator does not publish wheelchair boarding details for these rural stops. Platform conditions vary, so assistance should be arranged in advance. The dated return schedule matters as much as the outbound departure.
