Córdoba Regional Rail Villa María–Córdoba Regional Train

The Villa María–Córdoba regional train follows the Mitre railway through Tío Pujio, James Craik, Oliva, Oncativo, Manfredi, Laguna Larga, Pilar, Río Segundo, and Toledo. The official service page gives an end-to-end time of about 4 hours 30 minutes.

The national government authorized provisional passenger service on this corridor in 2004, initially under Ferrocentral. It is separate from the Tren de las Sierras and arrives at Córdoba Mitre from the southeast.

Trenes Argentinos still lists the route and says a ticket can be bought online, at an enabled office, or on board. The problem is that the operator does not currently post a dated timetable. The schedule still available in its document archive took effect in 2018 and should not be used as proof of a current departure.

Keep this route in the planning stage until a bookable train and dated schedule appear. The archived service used climate-controlled conventional equipment, but current rolling stock and station assistance are not documented. Smaller platforms along the route have uneven facilities, so confirm accessibility directly before relying on the train.
