NS Passenger Rail Schiphol Airport to Den Haag Centraal Sprinter

This Sprinter runs from Schiphol Airport to Den Haag Centraal through Hoofddorp, Nieuw Vennep, Sassenheim, Leiden, Voorschoten, and the northern districts of The Hague. Take it for a local station. The Intercity is faster between the airport and the center.

The first trains later associated with the Sprinter name began operation in 1977. NS eventually applied the name across its frequent local service, replacing older stop-train branding. Newer Sprinter fleets were designed around quick boarding and short station spacing.

Check in and out with the same contactless bank card, phone, OV-chipkaart, or valid ticket. The fare is based on the journey, not on choosing Sprinter instead of Intercity.

Most current Sprinter trains are air-conditioned and have wide doors, sliding steps, wheelchair spaces, and an accessible toilet. They trade more stops for easier local access. Check the NS planner for the assigned train and request Travel Assistance when boarding support is needed.
