Patras Suburban Railway 1

P1 connects Kaminia with Tsoukaleika, Vrachneika, Mintilogli, Paralia Patras, Ities, Antheias, and Agios Andreas. A Hellenic Train bus continues beyond the rail terminus at Kaminia to Alissos and Kato Achaia.

The southern suburban extension opened toward Kato Achaia in 2020. The current operating map shows rail only as far as Kaminia, with the outer section converted to a connecting bus rather than a train.

Patras fares are zonal. Buy through Hellenic Train or select the correct zone on the Tap in Train validator after boarding, then pay with a contactless debit or credit card. Keep the same physical or digital card available as proof during inspection.

P1 uses diesel multiple-unit rolling stock with air-conditioning and open seating. Trains make closely spaced stops, and capacity is designed for short suburban journeys rather than long-distance luggage.

Portable ramps allow wheelchair boarding, but station platforms and approaches vary. Arrange mobility assistance 24 hours ahead when it is essential. At Kaminia, the Kato Achaia continuation is a bus, which may have different accessibility limits from the train.
