P2 connects Agios Andreas with Patras station, Panachaiki, Agyia, Bozaitika, Kastelokampos, and Rio. Hellenic Train buses leave Kastelokampos for the university, hospital, and Agios Vasileios beyond the operating rail section.

Patras suburban service opened north of the city center in 2010 and expanded over the following years. The current map ends rail operation at Rio and uses separate bus links for the outer northern destinations.

Fares are zonal. A ticket can be bought through Hellenic Train channels or from the onboard Tap in Train validator with a supported contactless bank card. Select the zone before tapping, and retain the physical card or mobile wallet used for payment so it can be checked.

Diesel multiple-unit rolling stock provides air-conditioning, open seating, and frequent doors for short trips. University traffic can produce crowding between central Patras and Kastelokampos during class periods.

Portable ramps support wheelchair boarding, but access conditions differ by stop. Hellenic Train recommends arranging assistance at least 24 hours ahead. Bus connections beyond Kastelokampos require a valid train ticket and may not provide the same level boarding as the rail vehicle.
