Line 43 runs from Bålsta to Nynäshamn, linking the northwestern branch, Stockholm City, and the long coastal branch south through Västerhaninge.
The Nynäshamn railway opened in 1901, decades before the modern Pendeltåg network began in 1968. Citybanan added dedicated central tracks and the Stockholm City and Odenplan stations in 2017.
Touch in with a contactless bank card, SL card, or activated app ticket. The normal SL fare covers the line, and there is no touch out. Check the selected departure because some trains may terminate before Nynäshamn.
The air-conditioned X60 fleet has wheelchair spaces and portable boarding ramps. The central section can be crowded, while service becomes less frequent toward the outer end. Bicycle rules include peak restrictions and a ban on taking a bicycle on or off at Stockholm City.
