Line 1 runs from Terminal Itararé to Engenheiro Alberto Tavares Silva and has 10 cataloged stops. Weekday diesel service with zero fare during modernization.

Urban passenger service began in 1991. The state transferred operation to the Companhia Ferroviária e de Logística do Piauí, which is rebuilding stations, track, and rolling stock. The present route opened through those stages.

Riding the line

The service has operated with a zero fare since January 2025. Check the current state notice in case that policy changes.

Current rolling stock and ride conditions: Diesel railcars work the line while a wider modernization program replaces trains and stations.

Neither endpoint should be assumed to include an internal transfer to another railway. Engenheiro Alberto Tavares Silva is the central terminal. Frei Serafim is the historic station stop, while Itararé anchors the southeast end.

Accessibility: Rebuilt stations are improving platform access, but construction can change entrances and boarding points.

Colorado, Todos os Santos, and other project stations belong to the expansion program until the state confirms passenger opening.

Check Teresina Metro for the current timetable and operating notices.
