Trainkos Passenger Rail Prishtina to Peja

The Prishtina to Peja railway runs west across Kosovo through Fushë Kosovë, Drenas, Klinë, and a string of small local stops. The official 2026 timetable has two trains in each direction every day. Trips take about two hours.

Trainkos began operation in 2011 after passenger services were separated from the infrastructure company. The Peja corridor remains one of only two passenger routes in the current timetable.

Trainkos labels one daily trip as InterCity and the other as a local train, although the published sheets show both serving the same stations. The line is most useful when its two departure times fit the day. There is no frequent service to fall back on.

A one-way Prishtina to Peja ticket is listed at €3 on the operator's current fare page. Buy at a station ticket office when one is available and carry euros. Contactless tap-in and normal online ticketing are not advertised.

The route uses aging rolling stock with locomotive-hauled coaches, and low platforms are common. Trainkos does not publish a step-free guarantee for the line. Confirm the exact train and station access before travel when assistance is needed.
