The Sarajevo to Maglaj service follows the Bosna valley through Visoko, Kakanj, Zenica, Žepče, and Zavidovići. Local trains cover shorter sections of the same corridor.

The 2025/26 timetable lists train 710 from Sarajevo at 16:28, arriving in Maglaj at 19:01. Train 711 leaves Maglaj at 06:07 and reaches Sarajevo at 08:47. Train 710 does not run on Saturday, and train 711 does not run on Sunday. Weekday local trains add service between Sarajevo, Visoko, and Zenica.

Maglaj is not a functioning passenger interchange for Banja Luka. The railway continues to Doboj, but the current timetable does not provide a passenger train over that gap. Check the official ŽFBH timetable before building a trip around the limited service.
