About
9 de Julio is the Line D station under Diagonal Norte at the Obelisco. It forms the Line D part of Nodo Obelisco, with underground passages to Carlos Pellegrini on Line B and Diagonal Norte on Line C. The southern Obelisco gallery also leads into the station, while the northern gallery connects to Carlos Pellegrini.
The original Line D section from Catedral to Tribunales opened on June 3, 1937, and this stop was initially named Carlos Pellegrini. Use it for the Obelisco, Avenida Corrientes, and the nearby theater district. Allow a few minutes for a transfer because each line keeps its own station name and platforms. The city lists escalators but no elevators at 9 de Julio, so it is not a step-free interchange.
