About

Josefov is the surviving core of Prague's former Jewish Town, pressed between Old Town Square and the Vltava. Much of the ghetto was demolished during redevelopment around 1900, but the synagogues, Old Jewish Cemetery and Jewish Town Hall remain within a few blocks. Most visitor access runs through the Jewish Museum's multi-site ticket, while the neighborhood streets and exterior architecture are public. The sites close on Saturdays and Jewish holidays, and the museum route can take several hours if you enter each building.
