Estación Plaza Constitución

Buenos Aires

About

Plaza Constitución is the main Buenos Aires terminal for the Roca Line. Trains have left this site since 1864, but the building grew in several major stages. Parr, Strong & Parr designed the 1883 Neo-Renaissance station. Paul Bell Chambers and Louis Newbery Thomas later expanded it into the much larger Beaux-Arts terminal seen today.

The station is a National Historic Monument and one of the city's busiest transport hubs. It connects suburban and longer-distance rail services with Constitución station on Subte Line C. The concourse is enormous, so allow time to find the correct platform rather than treating the subway exit and railway gate as the same place.
