St Patrick's Basilica
Perth, Western Australia
About
St Patrick's Basilica is the large limestone church at the north end of central Fremantle. Cavanagh and Cavanagh designed the present building. Its foundation stone was laid in 1898, and the church was completed in 1900. The parish dates to about 1850 and has been entrusted to the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate since 1894. It remains an active Catholic parish, so interior access follows Masses and parish events.
