About
The Adam Mickiewicz Monument is the large bronze group between St Mary's Basilica and the Cloth Hall. Teodor Rygier's monument was unveiled in 1898, on the centenary of the poet's birth. Mickiewicz is surrounded by allegorical figures representing Homeland, Science, Courage and Poetry. Its position in the middle of the Rynek also makes it an easy meeting point.
