About

Saints Peter and Paul is the first fully Baroque church built in Poland. The Jesuits began it in 1597, with Giovanni Trevano completing the dome and facade in the early 1600s using Rome's Il Gesù as the model. The apostles along Grodzka are modern copies. the originals are protected elsewhere. The crypt also serves as Poland's National Pantheon. Visitor access is free, but hours fit around worship and change seasonally.
