About
Wawel is the limestone hill where Kraków's royal, political and religious history overlaps. A bishopric and cathedral were established here around AD 1000, and the castle later took on Gothic and Renaissance forms. Walking onto the hill and through the main courtyard is free. The cathedral, royal rooms, treasury and seasonal underground routes are separate visits with their own tickets.
